Much in need of some relaxation this month while I was in between jobs, I went to visit my friend Miriam at her home in the suburbs of Stuttgart, Germany. We had a wonderful weekend together, and while Stuttgart isn’t a city you hear about as often as Munich or Berlin, I do think the area is beautiful and has a lot to offer. Before our trip, several people told me they had seen little of Madrid—often because they were there for work—or that it lacked the appeal of other Spanish cities. Although Spain has larger cities with more attractions, Madrid has a charm of its own, and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay.

December flew by as I enjoyed Christmas festivities and an end of the month trip to Morocco. I attended a Christmas carol concert with friends, did two rounds of celebrating Christmas with Mark’s family, and drank plenty of mulled wine and gingerbread lattes. At the end of the month, Markell flew to London and we had a few days in the city before joining my dad and uncle for a trip to Morocco, a new country for me. Here’s what I got into in December 2025.

After a somewhat rough March in which I got laid off from my job, in April my fortune took a turn for the better. After countless phone and several in person interviews, I ended up in the extremely fortunate position of having two job offers to pick between.
