Although Mark and I got married in August 2021, we waited a while for COVID-19 restrictions to relax so we could travel to one of the few countries we had narrowed down to for our honeymoon. The time finally came in April of 2022 when we embarked on a two week trip through Argentina. Below are photos of our time spent there.

Our first stop was a town in Patagonia called Bariloche. Bariloche is in Argentina’s Lake District and is a popular destination for hiking and outdoor adventure. We stayed at the Llao Llao resort which is one of the best accommodations in the region. We had an expansive view of the mountains and lake from our room.

Next, we moved on to Mendoza, Argentina. Mendoza is well known as the wine country of Argentina. In Mendoza we went on several wine tours and enjoyed long leisurely lunches at two of the wineries.

Our third stop was Buenos Aires, Argentina. In Buenos Aires we enjoyed two tango shows and a tour of the city. One of my friend’s parents also live in the city so we enjoyed a nice lunch with them.

As a day trip from Buenos Aires, I also spent time at Estancia La Bandada. At the Estancia, I learned how to make empanadas, had a fresh lunch from their onsite garden, laid out by the pool, went horseback riding, and enjoyed tea time.

All in all, it was a great two weeks!
