As much as I have shared on this blog over the years, I can without a doubt say that my pants and bra choices have not been part of it! However, UK Lingerie reached out to me to try some of their offerings and as someone who has struggled to find the right bras and lingerie for the better part of my life, I was open to seeing what they have.
As an avid hiker and someone who enjoys high intensity cardio workouts, finding a sports bra that will keep the – ahem, girls – in place has proved challenging in my past due to having a large chest size. On the rare occasion that I find a sports bra that does fit, the price tag has often been far more than I wanted to spend. On UK Lingerie’s website I was quite excited not only see many cute and colourful options for sports bras, but that they were reasonably priced and ran in the larger sizes I need for coverage. I decided to order the Shock Absorber Active Zipped Plunge Bra (£30.00) thanks to the bright colour scheme and that it could be zipped on from the front. This sports bra in person looks as great as it does online, and is easy to put on thanks to the zip front. The only thing I’d mention is it was slightly less stretchy than I imagined, so I’d recommend going a size up from your normal band size to be comfortable.
Now, a girl can’t wear sports bras all the time (although tempting!) so I decided to select a matching lingerie set as well. I’m not sure why it’s taken me this long in life to get a matching lingerie set for myself, but I absolutely love the Playtex Bordeaux Purple Underwire Bra (£30.00) and Playtex Bordeaux Purple Midi Briefs (£15.00) that I ordered. The bra’s lacy flowered front makes it look sexy, all the while being super comfortable and providing the needed support. The bra fit true to size.
The matching midi briefs also have just the right touch of flair. While the higher rise of these briefs provides coverage, the front portion is actually a sheer lace that surprisingly looks flattering when on (and I do NOT have a perfectly flat stomach!). UK Lingerie has the bra and briefs available in black plum and melon punch pink in addition to bordeaux purple so you can grab the set in three fun colours!
I was really impressed throughout browsing the UK Lingerie website that so many of their offerings came in a variety of sizes, so women of all shapes can shop from them. They also have items at a variety of price points, from reasonably priced lingerie like what I selected, to higher end designer items. They also have active wear, shape wear, nightwear, and swim wear, so you can really find a breadth of items within their offerings. I know this certainly will not be my last time shopping with them!
