A Spring Weekend in Asheville, North Carolina

Asheville, North Carolina has a little bit of something for everyone. It has a plethora of breweries and bars, ample delicious restaurants and eateries, a strong arts scene, and plenty of opportunities to get outside in nature. Our visit in mid-April was marked by temperatures in the mid-60s, which was the perfect not-too-cold, not-too-hot temperature to explore the city. Soundside Nature Trail at Jockey’s Ridge State Park

Jockey’s Ridge State Park is the largest state park in the North Carolina state park system and is situated in beautiful Nags Head, North Carolina, a city that is part of the greater Outer Banks region. While staying in nearby Kill Devil Hills with my family, I decided to go for a hike along the Soundside Nature Trail in Jockey’s Ridge.
